If your buyers are technically sceptical
Manchester's economy includes a deep bench of managed service providers, IT consultancies, SaaS firms, recruiters and professional services — sectors where the buyer is often technically literate and professionally cautious. An MSP's prospect might be an operations director who's been burned before; a B2B firm's prospect is often someone who'll have to justify the choice internally.
If that's who you're selling to, websites tend not to win by looking flashy. They win by answering the questions a careful buyer is silently asking: have you done this before, for companies like mine, and can I verify any of it? Everything else is decoration.
We're a London-based studio, and we're straightforward about geography: Manchester work is delivered remotely — brief by phone or video, progress by email, approvals in writing. You work directly with the senior developer building the site, and the price is fixed in writing before anything starts.
What technically sceptical buyers need to see
Service pages that solve problems, not list products
"Managed IT support", "Microsoft 365 migration", "cyber security services" — each is a separate search and a separate worry. A page per service, written around the problem it fixes rather than the technology underneath, is what turns an MSP website from a brochure into a lead source. We've written a full guide on this: web design for managed service providers.
Verifiable credibility markers
Vendor partnerships, certifications, Cyber Essentials or ISO status, response-time commitments, team size and tenure. IT-literate buyers check these — and discount the ones that can't be verified. Put them where they'll be found, with enough detail to be checkable.
Pricing signals
B2B buyers who can't gauge whether you're in range often assume you're not, and leave. Even "from" pricing or package anchors can improve enquiry quality — the prospects who do get in touch already know roughly what they're signing up for.
Lead capture for a considered purchase
Nobody impulse-buys a £2,000/month support contract. Sites that only offer "book a call" lose the larger early-stage audience — guides, checklists and assessments capture leads before they're ready to talk, which is where long B2B sales cycles are often won.
Local SEO in a competitive city
A term like "IT support Manchester" is hard to win — established firms with years of reviews tend to occupy it. The more realistic routes in are usually narrower: vertical terms ("IT support for law firms"), problem-based content that matches what prospects actually type, and making sure the branded searches that follow referrals land on a credible site. Sound on-page SEO fundamentals — proper titles, structure, speed — are built into everything we deliver; we don't sell ranking guarantees, because nobody honest can.
What to check in a web design supplier
- Fixed quote in writing — scope, price and payment terms before anything starts. We do exactly this: 50% deposit, balance only when you're happy.
- Who builds it — you should be able to talk to the developer, not a project manager relaying messages.
- Integration reality — if you need forms piped into a PSA or CRM (HaloPSA, ConnectWise, HubSpot and similar), ask whether they can actually engineer that. It's the technical side of our services.
- Post-launch support — three months is included with every site we build; ask any supplier what happens after theirs.
Pricing and timescales
The Brochure Site at £1,995 covers many MSPs and B2B firms: ten pages, proper service architecture, CMS and on-page SEO throughout, typically live in one to two weeks. Leaner needs fit the Essential package from £495*; sites with vertical landing pages, resource libraries or integrations are scoped as fixed-price projects so the number is agreed before code is written. *Prices exclude VAT.
For firms whose needs go past a marketing site — client portals, automation, database-backed applications — our technical consultancy covers .NET and SQL Server work directly. Browse the portfolio for examples of delivered work, or see the other places covered in our location guide — Birmingham has a similar B2B buying dynamic.
Questions we're asked
Does remote delivery actually work? It's how we work with all our clients — structured calls, written approvals, same-working-day replies. If your project genuinely needs regular on-site presence, we'll tell you honestly that we're not the right fit.
Can you write technical content credibly? Yes — the studio is led by a senior developer. Copy is written by someone who understands the technology, then refined with you.
How do revisions work? Packages include defined revision rounds, and the balance isn't due until you're happy — the payment structure is the accountability.
Tell us about your business — we'll come back the same working day with a fixed price and a straight answer.
