Our approach
We are a small digital consultancy with a naturally modest environmental footprint. We are not subject to the formal Carbon Reduction Plan requirements of PPN 06/21 (which apply to major public-sector contracts), but we believe sustainability should be practical and continuous rather than a paperwork exercise.
What we do
- Remote-first working. We work from our own premises and meet clients online by default, minimising commuting and business travel.
- Efficient websites. We favour fast, lightweight builds — including static-first architecture like this site — which reduce server load, data transfer and the energy used by every visitor’s device. Good performance and lower emissions are the same goal.
- Considered hosting. When selecting hosting and cloud providers we favour operators that publish credible renewable-energy or carbon-reduction commitments.
- Long-lived hardware. We keep equipment in service for its useful life, repair or upgrade rather than replace where sensible, and dispose of end-of-life equipment through proper WEEE recycling channels.
- Paperless by default. Proposals, invoicing and project communication are digital.
What we don’t claim
We do not claim carbon neutrality or offsets we cannot verify. Our footprint is small, our practices are sensible, and we prefer honest incremental improvement over badges.
