Our position
Real Code Ltd is a small UK digital consultancy. We are not legally required to publish a statement under Section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015, as our turnover is far below the £36 million threshold. We publish this statement voluntarily because our clients — including larger organisations and public-sector bodies — rightly expect transparency from every supplier in their chain.
We have a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery, human trafficking, forced labour and child labour. We are committed to acting ethically in all our business dealings and to working only with suppliers and partners who share that commitment.
Our business and supply chain
Our services are website design, software development, database administration and technical consultancy. Our supply chain is short and low-risk, consisting primarily of:
- tier-1 cloud and hosting providers with their own published modern slavery statements;
- established software-as-a-service tooling from reputable vendors;
- direct professional engagements with UK-based contractors and clients.
We do not manufacture goods, import physical products or rely on overseas labour-intensive services — the sectors where modern slavery risk is highest.
How we manage the risk
- We vet suppliers before engagement and favour providers with transparent labour and sourcing practices.
- Anyone working for Real Code is engaged directly, paid fairly and on time, and subject to right-to-work checks where applicable.
- We expect the same standards from our suppliers, and we reserve the right to end relationships where evidence of exploitation emerges.
Raising a concern
Anyone — staff, suppliers, clients or the public — can raise a concern about modern slavery connected to our business in confidence at contact@realcode.co.uk. Concerns are taken seriously and investigated promptly.
